      Bill Nye Video: Dinosaurs

Were dinosaurs the biggest animals to ever live on land?

In his video about DINOSAURS, Bill Nye answers this question and also tells us which dinosaur was the smallest and which was the largest. You may be able to borrow this video from your public library.

Thanks to paleontologists that dug up and studied fossil bones of dinosaurs, we now have lots of information about these extinct reptiles. Bill shares this information with us in this 3 part video.

      Mammals and Reptiles Venn Diagram

A Venn Diagram is a graphic organizer that helps compare/contrast things.

      • Have students compare/contrast Mammals and Reptiles.

      • Next students could compare/contrast 2 different mammals or 2 different reptiles.
                   ~Example: mammals (dogs and cats)

                   ~Example: reptiles (snakes and turtles)

      • Then students could compare a mammal and a reptile.
                   ~ Example: (dogs and turtles)

The students could draw the Venn Diagrams in their English Language Arts or Science notebook or you could download one of the FREE Venn Diagram Worksheets from Learning Workroom's website.

      Go to Free Worksheets

If the students need help, they could use information previously written in their science notebooks, or they could do further research using dictionaries, books, or the internet.
