Digraphs are 2 letters of the alphabet that together make one single sound. Examples of consonant digraphs are ch, sh, th, wh, and ph.
Learning digraph sounds will help children's ability to read words.
Learning each digraph separately is recommended. Then, lessons involving multiple digraphs can be introduced.
Digraphs are usually taught in Kindergarten and Grade 1.
After students have learned about the digraphs ch and sh, they could try my free digital game available in my Boom Learning Store or my TPT Store.
