Graphic Organizers for Students

 Graphic Organizers are great tools for students to use. They help organize information especially during the pre-learning and prewriting stages. There are many kinds.

The Concept Organization Organizer (Web) helps students remember and include details about a topic.

Concept Organization

The KWL Chart shows what you already know about a topic and what you want to learn. It finally shares what you learned.

Cycle Diagrams show the steps in a process. Arrows point from one event to the next. Details can be written or illustrated.

The Venn Diagram shows similarities and differences between things. It is great for comparing and contrasting.

Today I have a free, fun Solar System Crossword Puzzle for you to use with your students in Grades 3-6. 

The Sun and Planets

The crossword puzzle includes 22 vocabulary words that are important for students to know when learning about the Solar System!

The words are written horizontal and vertical in the puzzle. An Answer key is also provided.
