Easter Fun with Bunny 2D Shapes - Kindergarten Math

Kindergarten Geometry is about teaching kids to recognize, name, describe, and work with basic shapes. They need to understand how these shapes relate to the world around them. It's very hands-on and visual.

Teaching 2D Shapes in kindergarten is foundational for early math learning. Children learn to recognize, describe, and name common 2D shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, hexagon and oval). They also need to notice 2D shapes in everyday objects. The door is a rectangle. The clock is a circle. A pizza is a circle.

Children learn that shapes form the basis of objects that they see daily. This deepens their understanding of how math relates to their environment. They need to look for shapes everywhere including the classroom, their home, and their environment.

Here's a fun, free Easter Bunny Shapes Math resource to use with your kindergarten students. It has posters, matching cards, coloring worksheets, etc. to help with teaching 2D Shapes.
