Twizzlers Percentages Book written by Jerry Pallotta and illustrated by Rob Bolster is a fun way to introduce or review percentages with children.
The book is recommended for grades 2-4 but I would prefer to recommend it for grades 3-6 because of the amount of division and fractions involved.
Of course the great motivator in using this book with kids is the promise of being able to EAT your Math Manipulatives when the lesson is over!!! :)
The book uses red (strawberry) and black (licorice) to illustrate common percentages but Twizzlers come in lots of colors now, so you could choose colors that coordinate with an upcoming holiday (red and green for Christmas, orange and black for Halloween, etc).
The author has lots of other fun math books which also use food to teach math.

Have fun combining math with literature!

Each piece is 10% , red = 70%, black = 30% |
Each piece = 50%, black = 50 % , red = 50% |
Each piece = 25%, black = 75%, red =25% |
