Presidents' Day is celebrated in the United States on the 3rd Monday each February.
This year we will celebrate Presidents' Day on Monday, February 20th. It will be a national holiday.
Many schools pay particular attention to George Washington's birthday which is February 22. Abraham Lincoln's birthday, which is also in mid-February, is often celebrated this month also.
Here is a FREE math worksheet for primary grade students that coordinates with this theme. You can use it with your students this month. It is a 120 chart that has students fill in the missing numbers.

To emphasize the red, white, and blue patriotic theme, you can print out the worksheet on white or blue paper and have students use red or blue pencils, if available!

CRAFT Directions and Materials:
Materials
- cardboard or heavy paper
- glue
- string
- crepe paper streamers
- paper punch
Directions
- Roll a rectangular piece of cardboard or heavy paper into a tube shape and glue or staple.
- On one end of the tube punch 3 holes.
- Loop a piece of string or yarn through each hole.
- Tie the 3 pieces of string together.
- On the other end of the tube glue approx. 5 streamers.
- Have fun observing the wind!
