In 2025, I created some free, printable Blends Games (L Blends and S Blends) for you to use with your students. Today I am adding a free, fun R Blends Game to my website which you can now also download and print for your students to play.

The R Blends included are br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr, and tr. Some of the words used are bread, cry, drop, frog, grow, print, and try. The game has 27 words with R Blends.
The game is lots of fun for students in kindergarten or first grade and will fit in well with your curriculum in the primary grades. Plus the game is no-prep! Just print and go!

I usually laminate my printable games to make them last but if you prefer you can use a plastic sleeve to keep the games protected. (I usually buy my plastic sleeves at one of the Dollar Stores. They often come in different colors.)
Your students will need dice or a spinner to play the game. You can also print out free (quiet) paper dice at my website (same link as above) when you print out the game. I like to print on oaktag which now comes in lots of bright colors.
