SPRING and SUMMER are just the best times of year to enjoy all the beautiful plants everywhere!
I love going for long walks and observing all the plants my neighbors have growing. :)

SUMMER is also a great time to do some PLANT activities with the kids ....... from planting bean seeds, to collecting seaweed on the beach, to watching a Bill Nye video on plants plus lots more!

Here is a collection of fun summer activities to do with the kids.

  1. My preschool students loved starting their bean plants from seeds. Once the beans sprouted and were grown, they took their bean cups home. One student in particular kept up with his plant at home, taking good care of it.

They also learned what seeds need to grow with an experiment with seeds getting sun and water vs. no sun and water. http://www.brennaphillips.com/learning-what-seeds-and-plants-need-to-grow
