Perimeter is the distance around the outside of a plane figure.
The kids might like watching a Slide Show from Scholastic Study Jams on Perimeter. Then they can take a short online multiple choice quiz after viewing the slide show to check their understanding of perimeter.
Next they might enjoy measuring the perimeter of some plane figures. In tomorrow's post, I 'll mention the different materials (manipulatives) that I like to use. Here's a picture of one of my favorite "edible" manipulatives to use!
