Borrow Animal Videos from the Library

Libraries usually have lots of videos about animals. Let the kids choose their favorites. (Also sign up for a library card if you don't have one.) Maybe.... serve popcorn and dim the lights while watching the movies.
After watching the videos have students list 3 - 10 facts that they learned in their science notebooks.


My favorites are usually the movies about the rainforest. Did you know that the Tropical Rainforest is home to over half the plant and animal species living in the world today?
