Free Printable CCVC Word Game - Short Vowels

Today I have another fun phonics/reading game for your children to use this summer or anytime of the year. The game can be used in summer school or at home over school vacation.

The game will come in especially handy this summer when we have rainy days and the kids need to stay indoors! The game will help students retain their learning thus help prevent "summer slide".

(Summer Slide: the time when kids lose approximately two months of grade-level learning during the summer because of the time off from school!)

CCVC GAME

Today's game is a CCVC Word Game free printable and is for all the short vowels (a, e, i, o, and u). The game has 27 words.

(CCVC = Consonant, Consonant, Vowel, Consonant)

The game is one page and can be easily downloaded with your printer! Just Print and Go!

Games are an easy and fun way for kids to review basic skills and maintain their previous learning!

You can use dice or a spinner with the games. 

When using the games, the students take turns reading the CCVC words.

I usually laminate my game boards or put them in a plastic sleeve for durability.
