Create a Bat Crafts Project

Bats are mammals and they are very unique! Bats are the only mammals that can fly.

The kids might enjoy this simple arts and crafts project where they can create a bat.

Materials

  • black construction paper (or another color)
  • glitter glue/glitter markers
  • school glue
  • yarn or string
  • crayons/markers
  • wiggly eyes (optional)
  • craft tape (optional)
  • scissors
  • hole punch

The directions for this bat are from Lakeshore Learning Materials in their free resources (crafts and activities) section. They also made a PINK bat! Why not? Who says a bat has to be black? You may want to let the kids choose their color!

There are some great kids' books on bats. Here is a small sampling.
